Fetal Development

Please look at our fetal development page.  This will tell you all about how a baby develops from conception to birth.

Website:   We have already secured a domain name  www.AdoptioninCanada.ca and have begun the research process. Our latest newsletter and the next couple of issues will include feature articles on adoption, and this information will be posted on our website. We have begun investigating all possible tools (e.g., social media and search engine optimizations) to ensure we reach the largest on-line audience possible. We will provide references to every possible pro-life resource on adoption in Canada, including links to adoption agencies and other adoption-related websites as well as lists of any related published literature. The purpose of this site will not be to counsel or provide direct services but to coordinate what is already available in one comprehensive site.

How You Can Help:   Please provide us with information! If you have any information on voluntary adoption and adoption services in Canada, please share them with us. We would also appreciate the advice of professionals (e.g., marketing, legal etc.) Please unite with us in this coordinated effort to promote adoption as an alternative to abortion. Please also consider assisting us financially so that the scope of this campaign is not limited because of lack of financial resources.

SPIRITUAL ADOPTION OF UNBORN BABIES

Here is a Site for the Spiritual Adoption of unborn babies.  If you write to Bob, or call him, he will send you all of the information you need to get this very important Program started. In the words of Bob:"The babies are counting on us."

Another great Site to visit is: http://www.archbalt.org - Respect Life

Calling all recent and not-so-recent graduates!

Have you ever attended the NCLN Symposium?  Did you spend your university years putting up pro-life posters, debating abortion with your classmates, and inviting pro-life speakers to your campus?

If you answered “Yes” to any or all of these questions, then please consider signing up for the NCLN Alumni Email List and join the Facebook Group (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=87462706966 or search “National Campus Life Network ALUMNI”).

  • Find out what your fellow NCLNers have been up to since graduation.
  • Connect with the current NCLN Executive and Directors to get the scoop on what’s happening on campuses today.
  • Network with other committed and experienced pro-lifers who are making a difference in Canada and the world!

 You can support NCLN by:

  • Joining the Alumni Sponsorship Program:  Financially support NCLN’s work on campus to train, activate and network pro-life students on campus. Anywhere from $10 - $50 monthly will help our work continue and impact to grow! We can accept cheques, cash or credit card.
  • Adopting a Campus:
    1.  Contact the NCLN Director to learn who the campus pro-life leaders are in your city/province.
    2.  Get connected directly with the student leaders.
    3.  Support the students in your area.
  • Volunteering your expertise to enhance and advance NCLN.

Call for Personhood for Canadian Pre-Born as New Website is Launched.

The Canadian celebration of International Women's Week, March 7th to 13th was a significant event for our country. Even Canadian history includes an era when our nation failed to recognize women as “persons” under the law. It is important to celebrate our progress, review remaining challenges and discern future steps to achieve equality for allwomen at every stage of development and every aspect of their lives, including before their birth.

Canadian women were not considered persons in law until October 18th, 1929. We see the oppressive, unjust, discriminatory and arbitrary nature of this clearly in 2010.  In deciding the “Persons Case” in 1929, the Privy Council explained: “The exclusion of women from all public office is a relic of days more barbarous than ours, and to those who ask why the word person should not include females, the obvious answer is, why should it not?

Alliance for Life Ontario echos this same question today, with regard to the girl and boy child before birth, says Jakki Jeffs, executive director of Alliance for Life Ontario.

“The science of embryology, amazing technological advances, such as ultra-sound, fetal surgery and intra-uterine photography prove the humanity of the child in the womb beyond any shadow of doubt,” continues Jeffs.  This scientific evidence has compelled Alliance for Life Ontario to expand its outreach with the launching of its second website, www.personhood.ca.  Among other things, the website encourages visitors to sign a petition asking the government to extend full legal protection to every Canadian from their biological beginnings. The signed petitions will be presented in Parliament on Person's Day, October 18, 2010.

Denying the humanity of pre-born Canadians robs them of the designation of person and consequently legal protection.  Political ideology, convoluted jurisprudence and societal complacency should not permit the continuation of discrimination towards the youngest member of the human family.

Denying personhood to the preborn child places us in a made-in-Canada time warp of barbarism and injustice. The number of Canadians killed by induced abortion since 1969 is over 3 million. To those who ask why personhood should not be granted to the preborn, we ask, why not?

Letters to Members of Parliament are most effective when they are hand-written in your own words. Sample letters can be found at Life Canada’s Website www.lifecanada.org
